To Succeed In Internet Marketing, You Must Master The Basics! by Dan Johnson

If you really want to succeed in Internet Marketing, you do have to master the basic's.

When major league ball teams show up for spring training, mastering the basic's is all they work on. Catching fly balls, scoping up grounders and throwing to other players on the field. Just mastering the basic's for the up coming season.

In internet marketing, it is much the same way. Stop looking for magic buttons or a secret plugin for your site that is going to find you traffic and customers. Those things don't exist and only the snake oil salesman selling them is the one getting rich.

To be successful in internet marketing, you have to work on getting a prospect, then presenting your offer to the prospect and once you have a scientific approach that's working, just keep using and practicing the approach over and over on each new prospect that you find.

Whether it's internet marketing or any other business, the old saying still holds true, If it is to be, it's up to me.

I had a friend that spent years in Karate and felt like he was pretty darn good at it, being a black belt and all. So he hired a Master to teach him what he thought were secrets of Karate. The jump kicks and things that he always saw going on in the movies.

When he showed up for his first lesson, the Master lite a candle then asked him to throw a punch. Of course my friend was taken back, feeling that he had mastered that and was ready to move on. After much insistence from the Master, he finally agreed and then threw the hardest punch that he could muster. He stopped one inch from the candle and the flame only flickered.

Now the Master said let me show you my punch. He took the karate stance, and stopped his punch two feet from the candle and the flame went out. My friend was amazed and realized that he still needed to master the basics in order to ever throw a punch like that.

In internet marketing, we may not have a Master, but we do have Mentors that will work with you and help you also master the basic's of building your internet marketing business, whether you're starting from scratch or you been in for awhile and have found yourself struggling on a continuous basis.

Bottom line, in internet marketing, remember to master the basics and you will succeed

The Home Business Foundation by Corbin Forbes

Having a successful home business can truly be one of the most rewarding achievements in one's life. The reason I say this is; it's very hard to do; if you can maintain a successful home business, you truly have achieved something fantastic. When starting a home based business I was very skeptical about many things. If you aren't skeptical when you start a home based business, you might be in for a big surprise. It's good to be skeptical; being unsure is what will drive you to be successful. If you just jump into this business, you'll loose a lot of money and probably quit in no time. You have to be very careful when trying to start and maintain a home based business. There are so many scams out there, and so many people who will take advantage of you in order to pad their own pockets.

The first thing you need to tell yourself when starting your home business is, "I CAN DO THIS." Having a positive attitude will be the driving force behind your success. If you can't be positive; you'll get eaten alive by the emotional ups and downs of the beginning process. The first couple of months of your home business development will be the foundation for your path to success. Picture someone building you a house; if you just say you want a nice big house, you're being a little vague. You should tell that person you want a nice house on top of a strong foundation. If you live in a nice house that falls to pieces, you won't be too happy. The foundation may not been seen by everyone, but you'll be comforted knowing you are living in something that is safe and reliable.

Sometimes the best things are not seen by those who are on the outside. I relate this to the success of your home business; the foundation you build will always be there, no one will see it, but you'll be able to rely on it forever. Let me give you some tips on building a strong business foundation. Research is the number one aspect in terms of building your foundation; the more you read and study the more you'll know about the ins and outs of this business. Be sure to take advantage of free advertising when you start a home business. A lot of people think you need to spend money in order to make money; well, they're right, but you can also make money in this business without spending money. Free advertising is very time consuming, but it will be one of the strongest pillars in your foundation. For example, in order to make your website profitable, you need to first put proven products or opportunities on your website; you're success will depend on what you have to offer.

Once you have a nice product you need to get people to your website; getting people to your website can be done with free advertising. Write as many articles as possible, and submit them to free article directories. If people like what you have to say and find you to be credible, you'll get some visitors to your website for free. This free advertising will eventually become the support you need to keep you motivated. Let's say you profit about $100 a day from free advertising; that's $700 a week, and depending on how many days there are in a month, you're looking at $2500 to $2800 a month in profits. WOW!! Without spending any money you're making over $30,000 a year; that's the foundation I'm talking about. The foundation will always be there; you can rely on that money and feel good knowing you can count on that being there. I know tons of people who work 40 hours a week and don't make that much money in a year. Like I said though, it's takes a lot of time and effort to build that foundation. Let me go back to my house analogy; one of my friends builds houses for a living. He's told me many times; the foundation he lays for houses is the most boring, repetitive and laboring jobs he's does when building a house. Guess what, it's the same in this business; writing an article every other day is very boring and repetitive, but it will be one of the best ways you can build a home business.

Once you have built your foundation with free advertising; you can then start building on top of that foundation. Remember your building on something that has already been established, the rest is icing on the cake. I kind of make it sound easy, but it's not; your paid advertising might be one of the hardest things you'll have to do, that's why you built that foundation; you'll need something to fall back on while trying to take your business to the next level. A lot of that next level building will have to with advertising on search engines; search engine advertising is very competitive.

Guess what though? There's enough to go around for everyone to make some money. Be prepared to spend some money, and remember to rely on that knowledge you gained in the beginning of your foundation building. I built my business from scratch for over four months before I started advertising on search engines. PEOPLE, please don not jump into this; I know so many people who jumped into the paid advertising phase of their business before they were ready, and they got thumped. The competition is almost overwhelming; ever heard of the saying, "walk softly, and carry a big stick?" That's what you need to do in this business; your research and patience will be the equivalent of "walking softly," and your foundation will be your "big stick." Too many people get caught up in the excitement of throwing down some money in order to make money; you'll have to do it, but the more prepared you are, the more successful you'll be. Search engines aren't going anywhere, information isn't going anywhere, and your potential visitors are definitely not going anywhere; as a matter of fact; my mentor has an article from Newsweek stating that something like over 50% of households in the year 2006 will have someone who has their own home business. That stat alone should tell you to take your time; your potential customers are going to be out there when you're ready to get going. Oh yeah, I almost forgot; PLEASE HAVE FUN when starting and maintaining your home business!

5 Powerful Techniques On How To Find Content For Your Blog by Wassink Anslow

Creating content is one of the biggest disputes that many internet marketing & niche marketing bloggers deal with. I've also seen lots of bloggers quit after the first 3 to 6 months of blogging mainly because of content creation but what you must understand is where there is a need there is always a market for it.

One of the most effective ways on how to find content for your blog is to go directly to your target market to see what interests they have. They will have matters they don't know how to deal with, questions they are confused about & technical misunderstandings they don't know how to fix.

By staying on top of these burning concerns that your niche is facing then you'll be given ideas which helps you consistently publish your content for your blog. Content can be done in the form of doing videos, writing articles, blog posts, podcasts, ebooks & creating your own products.

Make a list of concerns or questions that others have asked on certain niche related websites & create a file with the same heading where you can keep fresh thoughts in your mind which will make it easy for you to do your research.

While you are giving value, providing comfort & solutions to your niche then you shouldn't have any problems with keeping updated content on your blog.

Now Let's Go Over How To Find Fresh Content For Your Blog

1. What Are Your Competitors Doing

Go to your competitions blogs & social networking profiles to see what they are posting. What are they getting replies on? If they seem to be getting dynamic results from their content then why not duplicate their strategy in your own unique way?

2. Niche Related Forums

Forum marketing is extremely powerful & your niche probably spends a lot of time talking about particular matters that they are interested in. Use this to your advantage, join the sites, start building relationships by networking & participating in group discussions this should give you a great view on what to create content about.

For example, if you are interested in being a work at home parent then you can join the Work At Home Mom Forum, you can also use the chat-rooms to find out some of the problems that others are having & how that particular group is helping each other solve these situations.

This will give you a technique to go by because you can take questions or concerns that others have had & turn it into content can somebody say, Bingo!

3. Read Other Blog Comments

Reading others blog comments is good because it gives you the opportunity to see what your niche is discussing & what they are looking for so make use of it by writing an article or doing a video on it.

4. Pay Attention To Magazines

Magazines are a great way to get good headings, ideas & topics to write about. You can also read an interesting story in the magazine & share the story in your content especially if you are trying to hand over a certain message on a specific post.

5. Use LinkedIn To Your Advantage

A lot of people don't know how to use LinkedIn to their advantage instead I see people create a profile, add friends & post their content throughout the day. But there's more to LinkedIn that this you can join groups which are related to your niche, go to the question & answer section which is broken up into different categories & answer questions this gives you more ideas to create content on.

Use the discussions as a method of the issues & concerns your niche is having then create content that provides solutions & answers.

How to Get Your Website Indexed by Google in 15 Minutes by Jeffrey J Smith

Getting your website or blog indexed by Google is a good way to get your new online venture established and receive free traffic in the process. This short article explains how you can do a few simple things which take less than 10 minutes to get your website or blog indexed by Google within 15 minutes or so!

First of all, if you don't already have a Yahoo account and valid Yahoo email address, then go to www.Yahoo.com and follow the easy instructions that explain how to obtain one.

Next you want create a Yahoo Answers profile. Simply go to http://answers.yahoo.com/ and log into your account and create a Yahoo Answers profile. If you want, you can add details to your profile and add friends and gain fans within the Yahoo Answers community as a member. This of course is not necessary.

Then you will use the search feature to find people's questions pertaining to your website or blog's topic. Select "open answers" during the search. This will return questions that are still accepting answers. Selecting recent questions to answer is always the best because open answers get the most traffic and the person asking the question still has yet to read all of the available answers.

Pick one of the questions and answer it with a good, informative and objective answer of at least 2 paragraphs. Give complete thoughts and remember to make it useful to the person who is asking the question. If you post a short one sentence reply, then there is a good chance your post will be deleted and marked as spam. Make sure to include a link to your website IN THE SOURCE BOX, and not in the actual post. By putting your website or blog's link in the source box, Google has a way to find your site.

Next you will utilize two popular social book marking sites: Digg.com and Mixx.com. First go to http://digg.com/ and create an account if you don't already have one. Log into your account and click the "Submit New" link. This will allow you to submit your website or blog's URL. It will include some details about your site and even let you share it with others and make comments about it if you'd like.

Last, do the same thing at http://www.mixx.com/. Submit your web address just like you did on Digg.com. The process is very similar. Both sites are free to join.

Google crawls these sites VERY often and your website or blog's URL will be registered in Google in about 15 minutes or less! This is a surefire way to get into the search engines quickly.

As a bonus: go to http://autopinger.com/ and submit your URL there as well. This site will send a "ping" to various search engines and directories requesting them to crawl and index your site. Google accepts the pings almost 100% of the time. Do these quick and easy steps and you're site or blog will be listed in Google and other search engines in a matter of minutes!
